Who doesn't like Cheesecake?

That's what I said to my husband the first time I made cheesecake for him.  He said "I don't really like cheesecake, thanks though."  Well, as a baker of many years, having gotten my start in my mom's kitchen as just a wee one, I knew I could change his mind.  I know - you're not supposed to try and change your man, right?  But c'mon!  We're talking cheesecake!  So I persevered. And just recently, I came up with an idea that was sure to make him come crawling on his knees for more. 

Child's Play

Let's face it:  Most of us are still kids, especially men, right?  I thought if I could present the cheesecake in a fashion where my husband could play with his food like he did while he was still wearing nappies, surely that would entice him. Guess what?  It worked. 

Here's what I did:

• Bake wonderfully tasting cheesecake into delectable bite size morsels.
• Cut up the freshest fruit into tiny chunks.
• Create amazingly good fruit and chocolate sauces.
• Had my husband arrange cheesecake and fruit on a skewer, making a 'cheesecake kabob'. Letting him 'play'.
• Then had him sprinkle chocolate or other yummy cookie crumbs onto the kabob.
• After that he drizzled aforementioned sauces onto the kabob.
• Watched with glee as he smiled and FINALLY said, "You know, this is fantastic! I liked putting this all together."

What's Next?

Based on his response and many of my friends and acquaintances (and certainly to my two young sons, or as they call themselves, the R&D testers), I've decided to make these 'sweet treats' available to all.  I'm still in the process of getting all of the logistics lined up so they can be enjoyed anywhere, and ordered online but for now, if you're interested in serving these wonderful sweet treats at your next get together or event, call or email me and we can talk about the endless cheesecake possibilities!
